ShortDomains.co.uk is a peer-to-peer domain name marketplace. We connect domain sellers with prospective buyers. We are not a registered company at this time. For data enquiries, contact us at hello@shortdomains.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

Sellers: email address, chosen handle, domain names listed, and DNS verification records.
Buyers: email address submitted via contact forms. This is proxied to the seller and not stored permanently.
All visitors: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes.

3. How we use your data

To operate your seller account and manage your domain listings.
To verify domain ownership via DNS TXT records.
To route buyer enquiries to the relevant seller without exposing their direct email.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

Seller account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. Contact form messages are proxied in real time and are not stored beyond what is necessary for delivery. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@shortdomains.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Third-party services

This site is hosted on Vercel. Domain name queries may involve third-party DNS resolvers. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform develops. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account.
